Komposter Aerob Sederhana

Catatan Ringan. Kompos adalah bahan organik yang siap untuk dijadikan bahan nutrisi bagi tanaman. Alat membuat kompos yang sederhana antara lain komposter aerob yang bisa dibuat dengan bahan tong plastik, dilengkapi dengan saluran untuk keluar masuk udara serta saringan di dasar tong untuk memisah kompos padat dan kompos cair.
Cara Membuat Kompos:
- Tempatka komposter di lokasi yang dingin dan tidak terkena sinar matahari langsung.
- Pisahkan sampah organik dan sampah anorganik.
- Cacah sampah organik yang masih berukuran besar.
- Masukkan sampah organik dalam komposter, lakukan setiap hari sampai penuh.
- Biarkan sampah membusuk sekitar 30 hari.
- Apabila tercium bau busuk, aduk sampah tersebut dan tambahkan sedikit daun muda yang segar.
- Apabila larva lalat dan cacing terlihat di sampah biarkan saja, itu sebagian dari hewan pengurai sampah.
- Apabila sampah sudah menjadi kompos dan sudah berwarna gelap, berarti kompos sudah bisa dipanen, angkat keluarkan dari komposter, jemur atau dikeringanginkan.
- Kompos padat sudah bisa dipakai untuk menyuburkan tanaman.
- Kompos cair yang tertampung di bagian nbawah disa dikeluarkan lewat kran dan dikemas dalam botol atau jerigen.
